Commission Details

Please read all of the following information before ordering a commission.
All the commissions have a non-commercial use.

The prices represent the artist’s remuneration for a drawing commission.

* The prices mentioned above are a reference of what you can expect depending on the different kinds of artwork. Final prices may vary depending on the complexity of the illustration (with or without background; a single character or a group of characters; cover recreations; logo design), the medium used (pencils, inks or digital colors), or the paper size (8.3” x 11.7” or 11.7” x 16.5”).
* Do not send payment until Jose Martin has confirmed that he will do the commission for you. Payment information will be provided once the commission has been accepted.
* ALL COMMISSIONS require a 25% DEPOSIT prior to starting the artwork process.
* Provide a detailed description of what you want Jose to draw. Reference photos are also a BIG help. Good definition and clarity of the reference pictures help the artist to see what he has to draw.
* Please, spend some time selecting the reference photographs before contacting the artist for your commission.
* Pencil art is provided on Bristol board illustration paper.
* Paper size: A4 (approximately 8.5” x 11.7”) and A3 (approximately 11.7” x 16.5”).
* COLORING IS ALWAYS DIGITAL; final artwork is provided on high-quality print.
* Prices don’t include shipping fees.
* Digital artwork files are provided via email or WeTransfer post payment.
* Allow 2-4 weeks before completion.
* Jose Martin reserves the right to print or publish the commissioned piece, display it on his website or social media, and use it as portfolio work, etc…

Emailing the artist indicates that you have read the above information and agree with it:  jose@thegraphicpath.com

Terms and conditions

There are two simple and very honest yes/no questions this website aspires to answer:

  1. Do you want J. Martin to draw something for you? If the answer is YES, the first thing you need to do is go to the Commissions page. I know, you are already there. So you have all the information to help you take the right decision for you, including the different options of prices. Alternatively, you may also visit the artist’s portfolio where you can see different examples of his artwork.
  2. Do you want the artist to draw in a different style? If the answer is YES, don’t waste more of your time. Jose will not proceed with the desired commission. Jose Martin abides by the style established by masters such as Jack Kirby, Gene Colan or Neal Adams. Pretending the author to impersonate any other style would be an unreal expectation. So, as an example, don’t ask J. Martin to draw manga style.
